Waitrose Uttoxeter to begin recruitment for 120 jobs

Waitrose is to launch its recruitment drive for up to 120 jobs for its new store in Uttoxeter, which will open in spring 2016.

The new roles include full and part-time positions and cover a wide range of areas, including sales assistants, customer service, hospitality and service counter positions and drivers to carry out home deliveries.

All successful applicants will become Partners in the John Lewis Partnership, entitling them to exclusive benefits, including shopping and leisure discounts, learning subsides and a share in profits in the form of an annual bonus.

Waitrose will be working with the local Jobcentre Plus as part of the process to provide interview opportunities for unemployed people.

All vacancies will be advertised at  from Friday 13th November with the window for applications expected to remaining open until 28th November.

Anyone interested in applying for one of the roles, is also invited to attend an open day at Uttoxeter Town Hall, High Street, on Thursday 12th November from 12pm – 6:30pm to discuss the opportunities.

Construction of the building’s shell on the former JCB factory site has now been completed and the retailer will start work on fitting out the store in early 2016 ready to welcome new customers. 

The new shop will provide the very latest Waitrose offer, including meat, fish and deli counters, a bakery, an extensive wine department and the John Lewis ‘click and collect’ service.

  • Production at the old Heavy Products site in Pinfold Street finished in 2008 and the factory relocated to a new £40 million site next to the A50 in Uttoxeter.
