Trade Update

Camden Oktoberfest

Sales excluding fuel were up 2.4% last week, as customers took advantage of a variety of promotions available. 

As the essential Waitrose campaign continues, sales of frozen products in the range saw an overall increase of 20%. Particularly popular were cod fish fingers (up 85%) and frozen peas (up 35%). 

Sales of vegetarian ready meals continued to perform well, up 23%. Shoppers also enjoyed a new selection of sandwiches, with sales of the whole range rising by 17%.

Overall sales in beers, wines and spirits were up 14%, led by strong sales of organic wine, blended whiskey and a beer festival promotion.
